In anticipation of a disruption in our shipping office hours, the NMNH has implemented a temporary shipping moratorium on the return of all loaned specimens. At this time, please do not return specimens, we will notify loan recipients when the shipping moratorium has ended and provide further instructions at that time. Additional guidance for international loans:
Many global mail carriers have suspended shipments to the US in response to recent US policy changes. When the shipping moratorium ends and you need to return loaned specimens, to ensure that shipments do not incur tariff charges, please use a courier service (like FedEx, UPS, or DHL) and include the harmonization system code applicable to your shipment, 9705220000 (CITES material) or 9705290000 (Other).
