POSTPONED - International Day of Women and Girls in Science at the National Museum of Natural History

Due to inclement weather, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science Symposium at the National Museum of Natural History on February 11 will be postponed, and a new date is forthcoming. We look forward to sharing a new date with you soon to celebrate the achievements of Smithsonian scientists.

Tuesday, February 11th is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! We invite you to join us as we celebrate the many different women and girls in science in our own museum, of the past, and all who visit the museum! From studying reptile skulls of the past to how creatures are helping clean up the bottom of the sea, our experts have something to share that is sure to spark curiosity and wonder in our visitors.
Experts from the National Museum of Natural History will be featured at special carts in the following 1st floor exhibits:
- Sant Ocean Hall
- David H. Koch Hall of Fossils - Deep Time
- David H. Koch Hall of Human Origins
- Kenneth E Behring Family Hall of Mammals
